הביקורות הראשונות אוהדות ברובן, והתגובות ברשתות החברתיות אוהדות עוד יותר.
ב"וראייטי" אוון גלייברמן כותב, ש"הגירסה החדשה מתעלה לרגעים אפילו על סאגת הנוקמים של מארוול".
יש המגדירים את הסרט כ"אפוס מושקע ומרהיב".
אחרים מוסיפים ש"הסרט בהחלט מחזיק את האורך שלו, ושווה את ההשקעה בצפייה".
יש גם דגש מעניין- אחד המגיבים מבקש להנמיך ציפיות, ומצייץ , שבסופו של דבר הגירסה החדשה לא שונה בהרבה מהגירסה הקולנועית מ-2017.
